Baked Parmesan Chicken

This recipe was found on  The original recipe only has 4 ingredients.  One of those is a packet of italian dressing mix.  I can’t use that in my variation because my husband cannot eat oregano.  I hope he likes it.  I added some info of my own after the recipe.


1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 Tablespoons basil

2 Tablespoons marjoram

2 Tablespoons rosemary

2 Tablespoons thyme

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves


1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

2. Mix cheese, spices and garlic powder.

3. Moisten chicken breasts with water; coat with cheese mixture. Place in shallow baking dish.

4. Bake 20 to 25 min. or until chicken is no longer pink in the center.

*Variation: Cut into bite size nuggets, shake in a bag of the seasonings and bake for less time.  spray with pam before cooking.

*Tip: Cook whole breasts in a cooking bag for more moist chicken.  Cutting breasts in half lengthwise will help keep them from gettng dry and cooking time should be 25 – 30 minutes.
